1-2 Bike joins forces

 

The companies VelopA, VConsyst, Velomove, Bikedispenser and Accell Groep intent to join forces to bring automated bike rental and storage systems  for the European market to a higher level. Under the new name Velogic,  knowledge and experience in bicycle design, software & electronics, bicycle parking, automatic bike sharing and maintenance & control will be concentrated. Next to existing solutions, Velogic will investments in new innovations in automated systems for rental, storage and management of cycling.

Velogic sees an increasing interest for the integration of cycling in the mobility chain, applying software and electronics and the collection of cycling data. Using the knowledge of the companies involved, Velogic is capable of offering integral solutions. Next to existing products such as the  electronic bicycle lock, e-bike charging, bicycle detection, communicating bicycles, automated bicycle lockers, Bikedispensers, business cycling schemes and Public Bike Sharing, a modern back office (software)system for bike sharing and bicycle parking has been developed recently.

1-2 Bike - Velomove wins NMBS Bike Sharing software tender!

1-2 Bike mother company, Velomove, wins the Belgium Railroods tender for delivering the software for the new Bike Sharing system, Blue Bike.

 

The NMBS starts a professional bike rental system at train stations, comparable with the Dutch OV-fiets system. Velomove was selected to deliver all needed software to operate the system. Blue Bike will start with 41 locations with a semi-automatic system of renting bicycles. Possibly they will implement full automatic systems in a later stage, with which the Velomove software will make the necessary connections.
 

 

Velomove was selected from a great number of companies applying, because of their flexible, extensive and user-friendly software in combination with a very interesting price! In a very short time frame we will implement the basic software. In the future NMBS Blue Bike will have a large range of options to chosse from to make the system even better! Op de Ecomobiel beurs op 21 en 22 september presenteren we het 1-2 Bike "Business Pack". Deze flexibele oplossing voor bedrijven en instellingen brengt een varieteit aan oplossingen samen. Hierdoor wordt het inpassen van de fiets in uw mobiliteits beleid wel erg makkelijk. Verschillende soorten stallingen, kaart systemen, onderhoud, beheer en integratie met uw personeelssysteem of mobiliteits systeem.

Successful appearance at VeloCity!

 

A long list of positive reactions and new contacts is the result of our demonstration at the Velocity Global conference of last week. As an event sponsor (thanks to Accell Group) we were able to have our solution prominent throughout the congres center. At the Dutch pavilion we showed our flexible solution for the next generation in Bike Sharing, next to other solution to stimulate cycling.

 

It was a true international meeting with guests from all over the world, as you can see from the picture below of 1-2 Bike CEO Bart Zwager, together with one of the international guests.

 

Introduction of 1-2 Bike Terminal

1-2 Bike developed a compete new concept for a Bike Rental Terminal. Next to a friendly design that suits innner city environments, we managed to make it as user friendly as possible.

 

         

 

At this kiosk it is possible to be part of a public bike system in a couple of minutes. Membership card holders just have to present their card and they are off! If you are not a pre-registered memeber you can just show your credit card and be a member of the bike rental system in a few steps. As the 1-2 Bike system works with RFID cards, which are issued by the terminal, everyone can have access to the system and the bicyle with one card.

 

The 1-2 Bike mobility kiosk also offers a lot of extra services such as;

 

• Web access
• Public transport information & ticket sales
• Ticket issue (car parking of touristic tickets for example)
• Car sharing reservations
• Uploading of RFID cards
• etc.
